Ward Counting Wheel • Easy, simple way to count zooplankton • Acrylic construction designed for use under a binocular dissection microscope (low power stereoscope), this durable device provides an accurate, simple way to count zooplankton, as referenced in Standard Methods. Precision-made of clear plastic for easy cleaning and durability. Comes with a 4” square acrylic base. Acrylic makes the most clear wheel for stereoscopic viewing with water solutions, but keep in mind that acrylic crazes (hairline surface cracks) with any alcohol. Choose clear PVC (3-1810-E90) if you are using an alcohol preservative. It is slightly blue tinted and resistant to alcohol.
