Grades 4 - 6. Simply shake our self-contained, heavy-duty transparent plastic tube and watch as the dust settles! Because it is filled with pebbles, sand, silt and water, the particles gradually settle in layers, thus demonstrating sediment deposition in rivers, streams and lakes. Use horizontally to simulate different rates of water flow, or vertically to classify types of sediment. Includes activity booklet and teacher guide. 10-1/2" long.
