Science First Classroom Aquaponics Bundle

• Inquiry activities that can be customized for all grade levels. • Use the aquaponics setup for a few weeks or the entire school year. Students work together to set up the aquaponics tank. They learn about seed germination and fish biology, and plan an aquaponics design to promote a healthy and balanced ecosystem where plants, bacteria, and fish thrive. Throughout the experience, students track water quality data including temperature, pH, and nitrates/nitrites and write a journal about successes and challenges. In a STEAM activity, students create their own mini-aquaponics tanks for comparison to the classroom setup.  Materials in the kit include everything needed to set up the tank equipment and materials for water quality testing.
