Centrifugal Hoop

Designed to be rotated at low speed only with the shaft vertical, the Centrifugal Hoop is unrestrained at top and elongates horizontally to model the flattening of the earth at the poles. The hoops are spring bronze, and the shaft is stainless steel.

Rheostats, valves, and other devices may be attached to achieve speed control. The shaft is 5/16” to fit the ER-6 Rotator, mounted as shown in dark photo above
